Mount Bachelor, Oregon - Oregon Mountain Biking

This picture was taken on the 'Sparks Lake to Lava Lake trail' on the west side of Mount Bachelor near Bend Oregon. The trail is just part of a series that encircles the base of this 9,065' volcano. The tight single track will lead you through lava rock formations, thick forests as well as many alpine lakes and streams. The trail is 10 miles one way and can either be done as an out-and-back, or it can be looped up with HWY 46. If your feeling energitic you can also link this trail up with the 'Lava Lake to Edison Ice Cave' trail (10 miles) and about 15 miles of road to form a complete circle around the base of Mt.
