Hood River, Oregon - Oregon Mountain Biking

This picture is taken just outside of Hood River Oregon at a place called Hospital Hill. The ride climbs up to incedible views of the mighty Columbia as it rolls towards the Pacific Ocean. Along the way you will also have views looking up the Hood River Valley towards Mt. Hood. The ride is about 10 miles long and takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete. To get here, drive Hwy 35 east from Portland to the town of Hood River. Take a left (north) crossing the Columbia River bridge and continue for about 1.5 miles to the town of Bingen. Turn left at the blinking yellow light onto Hwy 141 and head uphill for about a half mile to Skyline Hospital Road. Park at the large gravel lot at this intersection. Do not park at the power station or hospital. From your car ride to the single track trail just before a turn-off to the power relay station behind the hospital. Ride uphill until you pass a gate (remember to close the gate) and follow the pink flags for the rest of the ride.
