Crested Butte, Colorado- Colorado Mountain Biking

In 1976 residents of Crested Butte set out for Aspen cycling over Pearl Pass on their one-speed klunkers. A group of Californians that had been experimenting with fat-tired bikes found out about the trek and showed up the next year marking the beginning of the annual Pearl Pass Tour.
