Bend is the hub of Central Oregon's outdoor paradise. But this area is more than just a destination for vacationers. The entire region has grown into a thriving community built around the timber and agricultural industries historic to the region.

While Bend is home to just about every outdoor activity ever invented, what many people don't know is that this area is also home to a diverse selection of great riding. Terrain ranges from old-growth & alpine forests to high desert canyons to facinating lava rock formations. Some rides can be reached right from town but most are located just a short drive away.

Like many growing cities, Bend has an older historic part of town to contrast the newer "strip mall" sections. You will want to spend most of your free time in the historic section which includes the Deschutes Brewery and the Baja Norte Restaurant, both of which offer good, inexpensive food. To find the old town just follow the signs leading you to Drake Park and you'll get there.
