Of all the products you spend money on, the basic cycling computer is probably one of best bargains you'll find. Starting at around $30, most computers give you convenient access to a clock, current speed, average speed, max speed, trip distance, total distance & stopwatch. Some models give you even more functions (such as hear rate monitors & altimeters), but also cost more. Because these other functions aren't so critical, we recommend sticking with the basics. The AV-100 gives you easy access to all seven functions through one large button (the second button is for resetting the computer). The display prominently shows the current speed in each of the six modes (clock, avg speed, max speed, stopwatch, trip distance, total distance). The computer mount is off-set, which centers the computer over your stem. Computers come in Black, Silver, Blue, Green (shown) and Red.
