World Cup Downhill #2 - Italy

Anne-Caroline Chausson (Sunn-Chipie) continued her domination of the women's field by finishing 15 seconds ahead of Missy Giove (Volvo-Cannondale), and 24 seconds in front of third place finisher Rita Burgi (GT).

The Men's field saw another newcomer to the podium this week. Germany's Marcus Klausmann (Hot Chili) won a more competitive men's field by edging out American Mike King (GT) by 1/2 second and favorite Nicolas Vouilloz (GT) by 1 second. Last week's winner's circle newcomer Tomas Misser finished fourth and still leads the men's World Cup downhill standings.

Overall, Team GT seemed to have the best showing with two of the top three placings in the men's field and two of the top four in the women's field.
