Dupouey & Sydor win again Martinez takes overall lead
Mont Saint Anne, Quebec, CanadaAfter her win in Helen, Georgia two weeks ago put her into first place in the point standings, it looked like Juli Furtado might have turned the tide in her favor. But Allison Sydor's win today confirms her domination of the women's field. Sydor has a comanding 52 point lead in the UCI women's standings after winning her fifth of six World Cup XC races this year.
So far this year, the men's field has been completely dominated by the European's and this past weekend was no different. Christophe Dupouey won his second World Cup of the year and now only trails Frischneckt by seven points in the UCI men's standings. There was a big change though. Miguel Martinez' (Sunn-Chipie) second place finish leap frogged him over Thomas Frischknecht's (DNF), into first place in the point standings.
