Myrah, DeMattei on Olympic Team

After breaking his collarbone, Don Myrah had to play spectator, watching teammate Don Myrah (Trek-Volkswagen) take the final spot on the US Olympic Mountain Bike Team. Myrah's 10th place finish was good enough to beat out Ned Overend (Specialized/Mt. Dew) who was in second place in the Olympic selection standings coming into this race.

The women's race came down to a battle between Ruthie Matthes, Tammy Jaques & Susan DeMattei. The first person to cross the line goes to the Olympics. In a 1..2..3 finish, Susan DeMattei (Diamondback) would come out victorious.
